Soran Ahmed
Video artist, media educator and art educator
He studied fine arts at the State Art Academy in Suleiman, Iraq, and received a Master of Arts in "Art in Context" from the Berlin University of the Arts. He worked in the education department of the Topography of Terror Documentation Center and lectured on media education and social learning in continuing education in Berlin.
In 2018, he developed “My Space is Not Your Space” together with the artist Türe Zeybek with Galerie Nord, which was created as part of a three-part art education and research project, and developed the project “Fractures,” a cooperation between the Jewish Museum and ARTRIUM.
Ahmed was coordinator of the intercultural institution Ulme 35 from 2017 to 2019 and curator at the Stadtmuseum Berlin from 2019 to 2020.
Since 2021 he has been teaching art for grades 7-10 at the Klaxschule, Berlin-Pankow.
