Nouria Behloul

Born 1989 in Zurich, Nouria Behloul studied transmedia art at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. Her readings and (lecture) performances have taken place in „Über Brücken – Bridging“ in Cologne, abc Projektraum in Hamburg, hopscotch reading room in Berlin (2022), at the Mousonturm in Frankfurt (2021) and in public spaces in Frankfurt, Vienna, Los Angeles and Berlin. Most recently her work was on view at GAK Bremen.
In her interdisciplinary practice, she is interested in politics and poetics of social structures. Collage is thought of as a tool through which she explores forms of narrations that are polyphonic (and sometimes multilingual), making references of ambiguities and contradictions tangible. Bringing together text, visual and sonic (archival) material she is working in various performative settings.
